What This App Is

This application is a personal, single-user N8N automation instance operated by Andrew Hylander. It is not a commercial product, is not offered to the public, and is used exclusively by its owner to automate personal email-related tasks.

Google Data Accessed

This app connects to the Gmail API using OAuth2 to access the authenticated user's own Gmail account. The scope requested is:

• https://mail.google.com/ — full access to the user's Gmail mailbox

This scope is required because the automation workflows perform a combination of the following operations, all against the owner's own mailbox:

• Reading incoming messages (e.g. to trigger workflows based on new email)
• Sending and replying to email on the owner's behalf
• Creating and managing Gmail labels
• Marking messages as read/unread and applying/removing labels

No other Google account or third-party mailbox is ever accessed.

How This Data Is Used

Gmail data is used solely to power the owner's personal automation workflows — for example, automatically labeling incoming email, or sending automated emails as part of a workflow. Data is used only for the operation of these workflows and for no other purpose (no analytics, no advertising, no profiling).

Data Sharing

Data accessed through this app is not shared with, sold to, rented to, or made accessible to any third party, individual, or organization. It is not used to train any AI/ML model beyond the owner's own workflow logic. Only the account owner has access to the automation instance and its data.

Data Retention

Email data is processed transiently to execute each workflow run. Data is not retained beyond what is necessary for that run to complete, except where a workflow explicitly writes a specific result (e.g. a label applied to a message) as part of its intended function. No separate database or archive of Gmail message content is maintained by this app.

Data Security

Access tokens are stored within the owner's private, self-managed N8N instance and are not exposed externally. The instance is accessible only to the account owner.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in how the automation instance uses Google APIs. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
